We were born from a love of exploring exotic cultures and global flavors, and we strive to nourish our customers' appetite for discovery by designing clothes that are comfortable for exploration and adaptable to multiple occasions. Our Founders
For Thy and Matt Mitchell, travel is the very foundation of their relationship; it has shaped both their lives and careers. In 2019, Thy and Matt - a former HR professional and writer, respectively - took the plunge into entrepreneurship when they launched their globally-inspired restaurant, Traveler's Table, in Houston, TX. With accolades from CultureMap, Eater, Thrillist, PaperCity and Houstonia Magazine, Traveler's Table takes diners on a journey to explore the world through food and drink. Also, the restaurant was featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2021. It's a must-visit for those wanting to embark on an international food journey.
The Journey Continues
The immense excitement surrounding Traveler's Table provided Thy and Matt with the motivation to explore other avenues and products that could amplify their travel-oriented message. Such ventures include a sister concept, focusing on global street food, called Traveler’s Cart, as well as Foreign Fare, an apparel brand inspired by travel.
Foreign Fare was the natural step of Thy Mitchell's years working in retail and hospitality, her journey through motherhood, as well as her passion for seeing the world. Over the course of a decade, Thy has felt that there was no brand specifically designed to provide stylish yet functional clothing tailored for travelers.
The Destination
Drawing from all these experiences, she created Foreign Fare: an apparel line crafted with modern adventurers in mind. As she pondered the elements of her beloved travel wardrobe, Thy was inspired by the idea that comfort and convenience could be paired with luxury and flair. This vision would manifest itself in clothing pieces designed to fit any occasion or location at a moment's notice.
